I am a lifelong learner and pursue resources that assist my clients in freeing from the past, facing challenges and enriching their valued lives. I am a more active therapist and feel valued and helpful in my relationships with clients. I appreciate each person's uniqueness and am intrigued by curiosity and humor!
I grew up in south Louisiana and attended colleges locally. I interned one year at the Houston VA, with an additional year in Marriage and Family Counseling. I graduated from LSU in 1980 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and minor in Child Development.
My license to practice psychology is under the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Aptaker Psychological Associates, Inc., was established in 1981.
